Law Enforcement or Intelligence? Divergent organisational goals in US counter-terrorism
Speaker: Professor Greg McNeal, Pepperdine University
Professor McNeal will describe the dilemmas faced by US counter-terrorism prosecutors and FBI agents when managing competing interests between law enforcement and intelligence obligations.
Prior to joining Pepperdine University, Professor McNeal co-directed a transnational counter-terrorism programme for the U.S. Department of Justice and served as an advisor to the Chief Prosecutor of the Department of Defense Office of Military Commissions on matters related to the prosecution of suspected terrorists in Guantanamo Bay.
